Real ruby is cut in a rectangular shape and faceted before being set in a simple sterling silver frame.  These are real rubies, with that characteristic rich red color that drives customers crazy.  These terrific pieces vary somewhat in size, but are generally about 5/8" wide by a little more than an inch tall.  Handmade in India, each piece weighs about 8 grams.
